Roundlet ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("App").

The short version: Roundlet is designed to work completely offline. We don't collect, store, or share your personal data. Your patterns stay on your device.

Information We Collect

We don't collect any personal information. Roundlet is an offline-first app that stores all your data locally on your device.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us:

  • Crochet patterns you create
  • App preferences and settings
  • Any notes or images you add to patterns

Data We Do Not Collect

  • Personal information (name, email, etc.)
  • Usage analytics or tracking data
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers

In-App Purchases

Roundlet offers premium features through in-app purchases. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle payment data.

Future Features

We may introduce optional features in the future that involve data storage or syncing. If and when we do, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify you of any changes. Potential future features may include:

  • iCloud Sync: Optional syncing of your patterns across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit. Your data would be stored in your personal iCloud account and would not be accessible to us.
  • Pattern Sharing: Optional features to share patterns with other users or pattern testers.
  • Analytics: We may add anonymized usage analytics to help improve the app. Any such data would be aggregated and would not identify you personally.

Any new features involving data collection will be opt-in, and we will always be transparent about what data is collected and how it is used.

Third-Party Services

Currently, Roundlet does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The only third-party involvement is Apple's App Store for app distribution and in-app purchases.

Children's Privacy

Roundlet is a general audience app suitable for all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, there are no special considerations for children's data under COPPA or similar regulations.

Data Security

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, its security is managed by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a secure passcode.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end. You have full control over your data on your device. You can delete the app at any time to remove all locally stored data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
