Pattern Building
Instead of typing out patterns like a document, you build them using "chips." Tap a stitch count, select a stitch type, and the app creates a structured, visual representation. This makes editing easy and enables automatic stitch counting.
The app includes 30+ pre-defined stitches and modifiers covering basic stitches (sc, dc, hdc, ch, sl st), increases and decreases, loop modifiers (FLO, BLO), post stitches (FP, BP), extended stitches, Tunisian stitches, specialty stitches (bobble, popcorn, puff, cluster, shell), and magic ring foundations.
Our stitch library follows the Craft Yarn Council standards for terminology, abbreviations, and yarn weight classifications. The CYC is a nonprofit trade association that has set industry-wide guidelines since 1981.
Yes. While the app auto-calculates stitch counts based on your increases and decreases, you can override the count for complex or unconventional patterns.
Select consecutive stitches and group them into a repeat. The app displays them in bracket notation (e.g., [sc, inc] ×6) and correctly calculates the total stitch count.
Absolutely. Choose from 16 preset yarn colors or use the color picker to add any custom color. Color changes appear inline in your pattern.
Yes! Capture images directly from your camera and add them with captions. Great for documenting tricky steps or showing progress.
Yes. Add inline note chips anywhere in your pattern to remind yourself of special techniques or tips.
Projects & Organization
Each pattern lives inside a project. Projects store metadata like hook size, yarn weight, brand, and color alongside your pattern sections and notes.
Yes. Search by project name, yarn brand, or yarn color to quickly find what you're looking for.
Sections let you divide your pattern into logical parts, like "Head," "Body," or "Arms (×2)." Each section can have its own starting color and repeat count.
Sync & Backup
iCloud sync is a Premium feature that automatically keeps your patterns synchronized across all your Apple devices. Changes you make on one device appear on your others within moments. Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account—we never have access to it.
Go to Settings in the app to toggle iCloud sync on or off. When disabled, your patterns stay on your device only.
Yes. Export your entire library or individual projects as .crochet files. These portable archives can be saved to Files, iCloud Drive, or shared with friends.
Open a .crochet file and the app walks you through restoring. If a project name already exists, you can choose to replace it, keep both, or skip.
Yes! Export a single project as a .crochet file and share it. The recipient can import it directly into their app.
Yes. Export any pattern as a PDF in mobile or print sizes. Great for printing patterns to use away from your device or sharing with crafters who don't have the app.
Yes. All your patterns are stored locally on your device, so you can use the app without an internet connection. If you have iCloud sync enabled, changes will sync when you're back online.
Privacy & Data
We don't collect any user data. Your patterns are stored locally on your device, and if you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account. We never have access to your patterns or personal information.
No. Your patterns are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, they're also stored in your personal iCloud account—but never on our servers.

About
I'm Alex Patterson, a software engineer from northern Utah. My wife is a crochet hobbyist who creates her own patterns. We run an Etsy shop called Patty's Print and Stitch together (she handles most of that business). This app was born from watching her work and wanting to build something that makes pattern creation easier.
